A lot of bikes you’ll see today are made of carbon and other cutting edge materials. Whether you’re building up your own bike, replacing components, or just giving your pride and joy a bit of quick maintenance you can’t afford to make a mistake in over tightening something. This means that having a torque wrench has gone from a would-like to a must-have item in your toolbox.
Torque wrenches aren’t exactly cheap, but why go the extra mile and get a digital one?
This Digitial Torque Wrench from ResQ Tools is easy to set up and use. Just insert the supplied AAA battery, click to the torque setting you need and you’re ready to go. As you get near to the set limit a green LED lights up and the tool starts beeping. Go over the limit and a red LED lights up and the tool emits a constant beep. You can also watch the numbers live on the screen as you tighten and stop when you see the number you desire.
The torque range goes from 1 to 20Nm (Newton Meters) which covers all the precise measurements needed for most bicycles. You can also choose kg/cm, inch/lbs or ft/lbs readings. The head is compact and offers a familiar ratcheting function.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
